MBR.ORG and CMSB Media are proud to announce that the 2010 Maine High School Football Championships will be broadcast on 96.3 The Big Jab for the second consecutive year. All three title games will be broadcast on a combination of 96.3 FM/1440 AM or streaming at TheBigJab.com. Messer Truck Equipment stepped up to the plate to be the title sponsor for the broadcast day.

Last year, MBR.ORG, CMSB Media and 96.3 The Big Jab broadcast three spectacular Maine State Football Championships from Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland where the Windham Eagles, Leavitt Hornets and Dirigo Cougars all were crowned state champions.

The continuing partnership between MBR.ORG/CMSB Media and 96.3 FM the Big Jab brings High School Football to Maine’s #1 Sports Radio station. The broadcast means southern and central Maine will once again be able to enjoy High School Football on the largest coverage area of all sports stations in the state.

Dave “Shoe” Schumacher, 96.3 FM Program Director and Morning Jab Host: “96.3 FM the Big Jab is excited to bring High School football to those that can’t be there and those that can. We enjoy being a part of local sports and hope the tradition continues”

“We were so pleased with the reaction we got from last years broadcast, from all corners of the state, we felt continuing the new tradition was the least we could do for the youth sports community,” said CMSB Media’s Jeff Schools and Matt Boutwell.

MBR.ORG’s Tom Nolette: “It?s fun to bring the excitement of High School sports through the broadcast and to work with committed professionals. MBR.ORG is proud to be a part of the team and we look forward to bringing more High School sports coverage.“

The play-by-play and color commentary team of Alex Reed and Coach Rob Munzing will also be returning for this season. Alex is in his 4th year as the voice of the Lewiston MAINEiacs, but brought the football play-by-play skills he honed for the Marshall Thundering Herd with him to provide a top-notch broadcast. Coach Rob Munzing got great reviews as the color commentator, bringing his decade-plus coaching experience to enhance what were already great games.

Special thanks have to go out to the Lewiston MAINEiacs. The MAINEiacs are out of town the weekend of the broadcast, but understood the importance of the community by allowing Alex to stay home and participate in our broadcast. This is yet another example of how the MAINEiacs have raised the level of commitment to the community.

Messer Truck Equipment is the title sponsor of the 2010 Maine High School Football Championships Broadcast. Messer Truck Equipment started with CMSB Media in its infancy, and has continued to sponsor and promote local sports of all type.

“Since 1899, Messer Truck Equipment has been a family-run business with its roots in the community. And don’t forget, just like the Messer Truck Westbrook Little Leaguers, the guys at Messer don’t mess around.”
