Tuesday Morning "LATE" Quick Hitters

Shoot-out at the OK Corral..not really at Texas Stadium in the last Monday Night Football game before the Cowboys move into their new digs. Dallas beat the E-A-G-L-E-S 41 - 37.

Lane Kiffin still has his job.

The Boston Red Sox used 6 HRs to blast the Tampa Bay Rays 13 - 5. The Sox and the Rays are now in a tie for the AL East.

The AL West kept the status quo with the White Sox losing to the Yankees 4 - 2 and the Minnesota Twins lost to the Cleveland Indians 3 - 1.

In the NL East, the Mets drop a game to the Nationals 7 - 2, cutting their lead over the Phillies to 1/2 game.

Ted Lilly followed up Carlos Zambrano's no no by throwing 7 no hit innings of his own, leading the Cubs to a 6 - 1 win over the Houston Astros. The Cubs are 8 games up on Milwaukee in the NL Central.

Speaking of the Milwaukee Brewers, they took another weird turn, firing Ned Yost Monday. Former Red Sox 3rd Base Coach Dale Sveum will be the interim manager. The Brewers are 8 games behind the Cubs in the NL Central and tied with the Philadelphia Phillies for the Wild Card lead.
