Thursday Morning Quick Hitters

The Boston Celtics went right down to the wire, but out lasted the Atlanta Hawks 88 - 85. This game took off just where the playoff series ended last season. "This is not a rivalry," Garnett said. "[The Hawks] are a very good team, they play with a lot of confidence and swagger. Joe Johnson is one of the best in the business and they cause a lot of hell and havoc. But you have to win for it to be a rivalry." The Celtics won their 16th straight and are now 24 - 2.

Army Football Senior Tailback Colin Mooney was invited to participate in the East - West Shrine Game January 17th.

Army LB Stephen Anderson has been named an honorable mention Sophomore All-American by CollegeFootballNews.com.
