Jovan Belcher worked out at Hofstra University with around 35 other football players at Hofstra's Pro Day today. Belcher, who is from West Babylon, was eligible to work out at Hofstra because it is technicallly his home town.
"I did OK, I could have done better," said Belcher, who worked out in front of around 16 scouts.
They did not tell the athletes their times, but I would not be surprised if the 40 times for the entire group are high. This goes back to when former Hofstra wideout Marques Colston worked out on the same turf for his pro day 3 years ago, and the slow times that were clocked dropped him to the 7th round. (look how that turned out)
I am going to guess he ran in the 4.6's in his 40 yard dash today, it will be interesting to see what it actually is. In Orono I expect he runs 4.49-4.56.
