Thursday Links

Andre Smith showed up to the Alabama Pro Day, overweight, out of shape, and may have dropped out of the first round. He also ran glacier-like times in the 40 yard dash. You can check out the video above. That might be internet gold.

Mike Lombardi analyzes Andre Smith and feels as though he may have fallen out of the top 10.

Smith faced a lot of questions from the scouts in attendance.

The SF Chronicle speculates that the Raiders may take Andre Smith at number 7. That sound you hear is the other 31 teams fan bases laughing. The good news is Al Davis is old and is hearing is not what it used to be, so the laughter sounds like wind to him.

Darrius Heyward- Bey continued his Troy Williamson-like ascent to the top of teams draft boards with a spectacular pro day.

The Ravens plan on having Heyward-Bey workout with QB Joe Flacco. No word on if Flacco's unibrow will make an appearance.

Alabama's Marlon Davis benefitted from Andre Smith's flop, and also talks about why he chose his agent. (Do you really want to base your agent decisions based on religion? Really)

Tyler Dunne has a nice article about Penn State OT Gerald Cadogan.

The Kentucky Kernel recaps the UK pro day.

Erik Scalavino speculates on if the Patriots will be looking at corners on draft day.

Robert Ayers and the University Tennessee held their Pro Day yesterday. Anthony Parker is in great shape, apparently.

Nathan Brown and Marquez Branson from Central Arkansas held good workouts yesterday at their Pro Day.

Rick Gosselin breaks down a draft sleeper, San Jose St DT Jarron Gilbert.

Oklahoma State's Brandon Pettigrew sat out the OSU Pro Day. In related news Mike Gundy is still a man, even though he is now 41.

K-State's Josh Freeman talks to the K-State Collegian about the draft process and what he is doing.

Central Washington has a couple of prospects who may be off the board early in day 2.

The Fresno Bee looks at Fresno St's draft prospects.

Peter Allin and Peter Quinney turned in impressive CFL E-Camp performances.

Make sure to stay tuned for Part 2 of Matty and Chris's NFL Mock draft, picks 11-21. Should be up later today.
