Pirates Goalie Jhonas Enroth (courtesy Portland Pirates)The Portland Pirates picked up a much-needed point, but lost the game to the Providence Bruins 3-2 in a shoot-out. They return to the Cx4 to play Springfield Sunday afternoon at 4 pm.
The Boston Bruins shutout the New York Rangers 1-0 and clinched the number one seed in the Eastern Conference.
The UConn Huskies lost to the Michigan State Spartans in Final Four action, and the Spartans will meet UNC in the Final on Monday.
The Red Sox sent Clay Buchholz to Pawtucket and they have one more move to make to get down to the 25 man roster limit before Monday's opener (by the way Matty and Jeff will be podcasting from Chicago Dogs in Scarborough Monday from 12-2 in advance of Red Sox Opening Day. We know you are not going to work anyways, you might as well, eat, drink, and hang out)
