Could Kottaras be Traded?

In an off-season that saw constant rumors of the Red Sox and Rangers trying to reach a deal for one of the Rangers catchers (Jarrod Saltalamacchia and Taylor Teagarden), it looks like the roles have been reversed. Ken Rosenthal mentions that Salty's injury, a possible nerve problem, may spur the Rangers to get another catcher. Enter the Red Sox.

George Kottaras is on a "rehab" assignment with Tim Wakefield today, and with Victor Martinez and Jason Varitek being on the roster (and Kottaras being out of options), could the Rangers and Red Sox hook up on a deal to send Kottaras to Arlington? Although the teams are currently competing with each other for the wild card, I don't think an acquisition of Kottaras would make or break the wild-card race, and with the Rangers deep farm system, it could net the Sox something useful. Dusty Brown could also be a fit ( I don't think the Sox would part with Mark Wagner). Obviously Kottaras would have to clear waivers, but still, the possibility exists.
