Hump day links for your viewing and reading pleasure.

  • The Sea Dogs exploded for 9 runs in a 9-4 win over Reading, including Daniel Nava and Jon Still. We have video of Dom Brown's 4th inning double right here, and photos from last night's game here and here. Sea Dogs are home for game 2 tonight, game starts at 6 because of the postgame fireworks.
  • The Red Sox survived Josh Beckett's shaky outing(possibly due to Jason Varitek's late scratch) and hung on to beat Toronto 10-9, thanks to a rejuvenated David Ortiz's bat.
  • The Bangor Daily News has plenty of coverage of the Senior League World Series. Bangor goes for win number 2 today.
  • Two Cents From Beantown is asking Clay Buchholz to step up tonight.
