Wednesday Weekly Awards (Special Thursday Edition)

Player of the Week: Da’Sean Butler: Hits the winner against Villanova, put in 23 on Senior Night, and will finish as the second leading scorer in West Virginia history…only behind Jerry “The Logo”. Not to bad Da’Sean.

Team of the Week:
Boston Bruins: Showed great composure in not defending their man Marc Savard, who was practically decapitated by Matt Cooke of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Way to step up and protect your boy B’s.

Coach of the Week:
Jim Schwartz: He treats Free Agency like college recruiting. And it works, signing Kyle Vanden Bosch, Jonathan Wade, and Nate Burleson. Go out there and get those free agents Jim.

Goat(s) of the Week:
NASCAR. Apparently it is okay for a driver to intentionally wreck another car at 200 mph, while down 100+ laps. What will happen if a driver kills another one on the track? Two lap penalty?

Play of the Week: Kobe…again: I can’t stand the guy, but my goodness he is so cash.

Vindication of the Week:
The NHL is a joke. Hey NHL, way to lose any credibility you may have gotten from the Olympics buy saying Cooke's hit was clean. You will always be a niche.

Website of the Week:
bigassmessage.com Just outstanding comedy.

Technology of the Week: Verizon Grabs NFL. Kudos to the NFL for picking the right wireless company to roll with next year

Upcoming Game(s) of the Week: Big East Championship Week. This may be a better tourney than the actual NCAA.
