Last off-season, Umaine linebacker Andrew Downey was invited to Detroit Lions mini-camp, and Jovan Belcher signed with the KC Chiefs as a free agent. This off-season, OL Tyler Eastman signed with the KC Chiefs as a free agent, and once again, a Maine linebacker was invited to Lions camp.
Jordan Stevens, who went to Bridgton Academy and is from Temple, was invited to Detroit Lions mini-camp. A former linebacker who made the switch to defensive end in 2008, he will probably make the switch to linebacker again in the pros.
