GM Howson Confirms Columbus May Not Name Coach Until June

Blue Jackets General manager Scott Howson was on NHL Live this afternoon and talked about the coaching search in vague details. He did talk about the timeline for this search to end, though.

"I was hoping to get it done in late May," said Howson. "If it stretches into June it's ok with me."

Portland Pirates head coach Kevin Dineen had his second interview with Columbus yesterday. He is competing with Blue Jackets interim head coach Claude Noel, Scott Arniel of the Manitoba Moose, and coach of the Hamilton Bulldogs Guy Boucher, who is the reason this could stretch into June, as Hamilton is still playing.
