Sunday Brunch Links

June 26, 2010 - San Francisco, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES - epa02225543 Boston Red Sox' Mike Cameron (R) is greeted by teammate Adrian Beltre (L) after hitting a three run home run off San Francisco Giants rookie pitcher Madison Bumgarner during the second inning at AT&T Park in San Francisco, California, USA, 26 June 2010. The Red Sox defeated the Giants 4-2.

If you listen closely, the sound of vuvuzela's in the US have been drowned out by people complaining about interleague play...

Red Sox
Mike Cameron hit his first home run in a Red Sox uniform, and the Sox bullpen stepped up to save an injured Clay Buchholz in a 4-2 win over the Giants. The final game of the series is this afternoon as Jon Lester takes on Tim Lincecum.

The Red Sox acquired Eric Patterson from Oakland to help with infield depth while Dustin Pedroia recovers from a broken bone in his foot (which Dan Shaugnessy nearly breaks into written tears over).

Bruins
The Bruins wrapped up the final day of the NHL Draft with more selections.

Vladimir Sobotka was traded to St. Louis. Marc Savard won't be able to throw him under the bus anymore, I guess.

Marc Savard would approve a trade to Toronto or Ottawa.

Chiarelli is still working to trade Tim Thomas.

Maine Ties
Courtesy of DJ Abisalih, here is a list of QMJHL players and players with Maine ties drafted by NHL teams Friday and Saturday. Also a list of players the Sabres drafted, which could impact the Pirates down the road.

Sea Dogs
The Sea Dogs had a comeback win in New Britain, and Mike Antonellis has the story.
