Pretty interesting weekend to recap.

Red Sox
The trade deadline might have been a dud for Red Sox fans, but the weekend was full of action on the field, yesterday with a walk-off bunt/throwing error.

Mike Lowell is still getting the run around, and the biggest might be because the Yankees are interested in his services.

Felix Doubront is ready to embrace a bullpen role.

Will Ryan Kalish prove to be the best trade deadline deal the Sox could have made? (BTW, there may may be a Ryan Kalish interview at Hadlock Headlines later on today. Just a heads up)

Jarrod Saltalamacchia is finally a part of the Red Sox organization.

Daily Pigskin Report

As you heard on The Weekend Warm-Up Saturday morning, David Patten retired.

Wes Welker is no longer a PUP. (See what I did there?)

Bill Belichick seems to be focusing on red-zone efficiency early in camp (this would include Maroney not fumbling inside the 5 yard line)

Adewale Ogunleye got his tires kicked by the Pats.

Sea Dogs
The Dogs road trip ended on a sour note.

Locally
Gayton Post 31, for the first time in 75 years, won the state tournament in Legion ball and will be playing in the Northeast regional this weekend. Kalle Oakes has the story at the Sun Journal
