The "Well, It's Just the Pre-Season, Right?" Links

Yikes.

Football
Sam Bradford carved up the Patriots like they were Iowa State, and the Rams escaped week 3 of the preseason in Foxboro with a 36-35 win.

The defense looked awful and Bill Belichick was not amused. The best quote: “In a game of no defense,” Belichick said, “we played less. We didn’t do well on anything.”

The Laurence Maroney era might be drawing to a close.

Jeff Howe and Ian Rapoport have the rest of your Patriots' news from last night.

The Black Bears are ready for the season to start.

Lisbon's Levi Irvin is going to make a mark on special teams at UMaine.

Baseball
Another rough night for the Sea Dogs.

Ray Chang got some recognition.

Dustin Pedroia's foot injury is probably going to keep him out for the rest of the season, and Gordon Edes places the blame at the feet (no pun intended) of the Red Sox Medical Staff (okay, pun intended).
