MONDAY MORNING QUICK HITTERS
- Junichi Tazawa shines again as the Portland Sea Dogs beat the Trenton Thunder 10 - 3.
- Joe Haggerty from WEEI.com is reporting Sea Dogs outfielder and Eastern League Player of the Month Aaron Bates to be called up to AAA Pawtucket today.
- Jason Harvey, down by 3 strokes at the start of Sundays play, takes home the Harris Golf Paul Bunyan Amateur Golf Tournament by 1 stroke.
- Speedway 95 lost a driver Saturday night as regular Ikey Dorr died of a heart attack on the track.

- The Portland Sea Dogs, powered by Lars Anderson's 3 run HR in the bottom of the 8th, beat The Trenton Thunder 4 - 3 Saturday night at Hadlock.
- Tom Ellsworth lead by 1 stroke after the 1st round in the 2009 Harris Golf Paul Bunyan Amateur Golf Tournament in Bar Harbor.
- In Maine Racing News at Oxford Plains Speedway, Mike Short took home the checkers in the Sunoco Race Fuels 100 for the Allen's Coffee Flavored Brandy Strictly Stocks Saturday. And down at Beech Ridge Speedway in Scarborough, Mike Rowe took the flag in the Coors Light 100.
- The QMJHL held their draft yesterday and the Lewiston MAINEiacs made many moves.
- Jon Lester looks to be back in form with 2 consecutive 10+ strikeout games, setting down 11 Texas Rangers in the Red Sox 8 - 2 win Saturday Night. Lester had a perfect game for 6 1/3 innings and looked every bit the pitcher he was last season.
