The UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls, Iowa once again hosted a playoff game between Northern Iowa and a CAA opponent. Unlike UMaine and UNH before them, however, the Richmond Spiders left Cedar Falls with a win. A 13 yard touchdown pass from QB Eric Ward to TE Joe Stewart with 14 seconds left gave a Richmond a 21-20 win, but more importantly, a date with Montana on Friday in the FCS title game in Chattanooga. As happy as Richmond was, UNI was obviously dissappointed.

Black Bears VS UNI Panthers TV Coverage
The University of Maine has forwarded an email to The Central Maine Sports Blog stating there will be no TV coverage for the game. Please go to the Black Bears website www.GoBlackBears.com for streaming internet coverage. Here is a list of stations providing coverage around the state...and if you are in Southern Maine, you can get the game on The Big Jab's Sister station 1310AM WJAB.

UNI Panthers Radio Voice Gary Rima
University of Northern Iowa radio play-by-play voice Gary Rima (above right) joined Jeff and Matty this afternoon to talk UNI football. Rima, and his signature catch phrase, "Oh baby!", is in his 15th year as the radio voice of the Panther football team, and in his 16th year calling Men's Basketball. He shared his thoughts on this Saturday's game, gives us a look inside the program, and more.
