Back from Vacation

Sorry it has been so long between blog posts but I needed a rest. The Yankees drained me physically and emotionally this year, and the Patriots are close to doing the same, especially if they decide to lose to Indy Monday Night. I may never use the internet again if I watch Tom Brady lose to Peyton Manning. I hate the Colts that much. I really do. Why you ask? First off I have never liked the franchise anyways. Any franchise that packs up its offices in the middle of the night and skips town doesn't do much for me. Then they drafted the college athlete I loved to hate, Peyton Manning. Yes, I have laughed at Peyton's misfortune on many occasions, including his losses to Florida in college, losing the Heisman Trophy to Charles Woodson (especially when a split second before they made the announcement he leaned forward in his seat like he was getting ready to stand up and accept the award. Instant classic). Losing his first playoff games Tennessee, the Dolphins and Jets. Losing in the playoffs thereafter to New England, which is on top of losing every regular season game to New England since 2001. Then Saturday night, while having his number retired by his old alma mater, Steve Spurrier rolls into town and knocks off the Vols, giving South Carolina their first EVER win against Tennessee. Coincidence? I think not. I call it "foreshadowing". It's a little reminder that Peyton sometimes just can't get over the hump. The Patriots are that hump.

Yes I know, the Pats aren't playing well and they are banged up. If I remember correctly though, they were just as banged up in the playoffs last year and the point spread was about the same. Yes, they sleep-walked through the first three quarters against Buffalo. Yes a rookie offensive lineman will be matched up against Dwight Freeney. I don't care. The Colts will not win this football game. No way. No how. 82% of the betting public is on Indy right now on Monday night. How often does the one sided favorite win on Monday night? Not often would be the correct answer. As long as Tom Brady can walk, the Colts will not beat the Patriots. Don't be lulled to sleep by the div 1-AA schedule that Indy has played this year. Don't buy into the bye week gives them an extra week to prepare. Dungy gave them 5 days off and they didn't analyze game film until Tuesday. I am not criticizing this coaching move, I actually like it, but you are going to hear from people all week and weekend saying "The Colts have had 2 weeks to prepare!". They did, but they only used one. In the words of Flavor Flav.... "Don't Believe the Hype!"

Take Louisville -20.5 tonight. Take it now before it goes up over 21. Louisville is a monster at home. Pitt has won 3 in a row. When was the last time Wannstedt won 4 in a row at anything? Exactly.

Looks like your poor lil broken Pats couldn't come threw on Monday Night. I am still wondering how you can bash a QB who has the single season TD record as well as the most connections with a WR for a TD...I'm glad your a fan and get very emotional about your team, but part of being a fan is respecting other athletes. Just becuz Tom Brady has 3 superbowl rings in 4 years doesn't mean that Peyton Manning sucks...The colts have had one of the most effective Offensive powers for the past 3-4 seasons, now that their defense has started to show up, they are becoming unstoppable. Whooping the shit out of your Pats on Monday Night shows the world that they have what it takes to take home a championship.. Now it's your turn to beleive...
