Big East Blitz

Cincinnati: Rankings? We don't need no stinking rankings...At least that's what Brian Kelly thinks. Brian Bennett, ESPN.com, writes that Kelly and the Bearcats are worried more about the next game than the rankings.
West Virginia: Pat White finally gets a shot at one of his home-state schools. Chuck Finder, Post-Gazette with the story.
UConn: Two losses in a row will stir up the emotions, especially when you start 5-0. Randy Edsell is tired of hearing about the "conservative" playcalling. He may have a point, considering they would have won if it wasn't for the lack of a kicking game.
Miami: Wait, no they are still in the ACC...I totally forgot considering they haven't done anything in six years.
South Florida: Matt Grothe picked up the Big East Offensive Player of the Week award, after throwing for three touchdowns and rushing for one. Grothe should be the favorite for the conference Offensive Player of the Year.
Pitt: Another good recruiting pickup for the Panthers. Highly-rated Todd Thomas will be making his way to Pitt in the fall.
Rutgers: The stadium upgrades continue to be the biggest story in New Brunswick. The Star-Ledger is reporting that Rutgers is looking for at least 1.5 million dollars for naming rights. I'm pulling for the "White Castle"...that may not be good for recruiting.
Louisville: The Cards face South Florida this weekend. A certain loss? Maybe not. Louisville has never lost to the Bulls at home, and CL Brown writes that Steve Kragthorpe will be looking for a wild crowd this weekend.
Syracuse: Silive.com's Tom Dowd wants to know why Greg Robinson isn't fired during their bye week.
