Maineiacs Dump McAdam, Dumont

The Lewiston MAINEiacs have relieved President & Head Coach Don MacAdam and Assistant Coach Jamie Dumont of their duties effective immediately. CEO & Majority Owner Mark Just arrived in Lewiston this afternoon to make the announcement.

Mr. MacAdam assumed the role of Head Coach last January. During the off season he was also given the role of team president and presided over all affairs in the front office. In 22 games with the MAINEiacs last season, MacAdam compiled an 8-14 record and earned the final playoff spot in the 2009 playoffs. The MAINEiacs were swept out of the playoffs in the first round by the eventual President Cup champion Drummondville Voltigeurs.

Jamie Dumont assumed the role of Assistant Coach at the beginning of the 2009-2010 campaign after a stint as a Head Coach in the European hockey leagues.

This season the Lewiston MAINEiacs are currently sitting in 17th place in the QMJHL and have a record of 10-20-0-1 with 21 points.

The Maineiacs would like to thank Mr. MacAdam and Mr. Dumont for their time here and wish them well in their future endeavors.
