Red Claws Toys for Tots Night

The Maine Red Claws, presented by Quirk Chevrolet, today announced Sunday, December 13 will be Toys For Tots Night with the Maine Red Claws. The announcement was made by Red Claws President and General Manager Jon Jennings.

All fans attending the December 13 game vs. the Tulsa 66ers are urged to bring a new, unwrapped toy. Marines of Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 25th Marines of Topsham will be on hand to collect the toys, which will be distributed to needy children in Maine. The Marines of Topsham work with local Toys For Tots coordinators statewide to ensure maximum distribution of toys throughout the state. The reserve unit also acts as the program coordinator for the delivery and collection of donation boxes in Androscoggin, Cumberland, Kennebec, Lincoln, Oxford and Sagadahoc counties. Members of the battalion will also present the colors before the game.

Fans unable to attend the December 13 game vs. Tulsa are encouraged to bring their new, unwrapped toy to the Red Claws offices. All fans making a donation to Toys For Tots will be entered into a drawing for a team-signed Red Claws replica jersey.

“It is very important to the Red Claws ownership, staff and players that we be active in the community,” said Jennings. “This is especially true during the holiday season. This is the first charity drive the Red Claws have held this season, and we are counting on our fans to come through in a big way to show their support for the Toys For Tots program and for the children in Maine.”
