American League All-Star Ortiz poses with the trophy after winning Major League Baseball's Home Run Derby in Anaheim

Red Sox
David Ortiz's 2010 season came to an abrupt end last night as he won the Home Run Derby. (See Abreu, Bobby, Hamilton, Josh for examples) (I'm kidding, he'll be fine)

Ortiz told Gordon Edes he wants more than a one year deal.

Dustin Pedroia will have a CT scan and could be back within 2 weeks.

Adrian Beltre WILL be available for the AL team Tuesday night as of right now. Joe Girardi had stated yesterday Michael Young would be taking his spot, but that has since changed.

Boston Celtics
Kendrick Perkins underwent successful knee surgery yesterday, and is penciled in to be back by January (I bet we don't see him on the court until March)

Jessica Camerato from the sister station has a great story on Gerald Green and where he is now. (Hint, it involves Ivan Drago and the KGB)

Nate Robinson back in Green? Might be close. (Remember, Tony Allen was a lock to be back, too)

Former Celtics F Al Jefferson is going to be a member of the Utah Jazz.

I once again complain about the Celtics.

Portland Sea Dogs
Alex Wilson had a decent start, but it wasn't enough at Hadlock Field Monday afternoon.

Blogosphere
New sub-section on the links, things from around the blogosphere. Today's best: Chuck Hanf of Two Cents From Beantown offers the best take on Jesse Jackson's Lebron James comments I have seen so far.

Tweet of the Night
From @Hewish about the Home Run Derby.
